We are looking for a professional, passionate, and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Asap & Soul, Ampang Kuala Lumpur. Join us now!

Preparation and Cooking:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant’s menu and standards.
  • Oversee and ensure all food preparation meets the recipes, taste, and presentation specifications.
Kitchen and Team Management:
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor the kitchen team including chefs de partie, commis chefs, and kitchen assistants.
  • Manage kitchen sections and ensure proper mise-en-place for smooth operations.
Quality Control:
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and taste across all dishes.
  • Monitor portion control, food waste, and cost efficiency to protect profit margins.
  • Ensure strict compliance with food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Inventory and Supplies:
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain sufficient stock.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and in good working order.
  • Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly.
Culinary Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
Leadership and Communication:
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a positive work environment.
Hygiene and Safety:
  • In-depth knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Food safety and hygiene certification preferred.
Education and Experience:
  • Culinary school diploma or degree in a related field preferred.
