BIM Manager

Just imagine your future with us… At Aurecon we see the future through a very different lens. Do you? Innovation, eminence and digital are at the heart of everything we do. Are you excited about the future?

Are you driven by the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and complex projects around the world and to learn from the best? We are. Diversity is at the core of everything we do. We work together to create a culture based on respect, trust and inclusiveness.

Our differences are what fuel our creativity.

What will you do? To lead and manage the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across projects, ensuring the effective coordination, quality, and delivery of digital models and data. The role is responsible for driving BIM standards, supporting project teams, and enabling efficient collaboration among stakeholders to achieve project objectives from design through to construction and handover

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies, execution plans (BEP), protocols, and standards. Ensure alignment with client requirements, industry best practices, and project-specific goals while promoting consistency and efficiency across all project phases.
  • Direct and manage multidisciplinary model coordination efforts, including architecture, structure, and MEP disciplines. Conduct and supervise clash detection processes, model audits, and data validation to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project requirements. Proactively identify and resolve design conflicts throughout design, construction, and handover stages.
  • Lead, mentor, and support BIM Coordinators, Modelers, and project teams by establishing clear workflows, expectations, and performance standards. Deliver training programs and technical guidance to enhance team capability and ensure effective adoption of BIM processes and tools. Act as the primary BIM point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Oversee the implementation and administration of BIM technologies, software platforms, and Common Data Environments (CDE). Ensure proper data management, version control, and information exchange in accordance with project protocols. Monitor and enforce compliance with BIM standards to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of coordinated models and project information from design development
We know today’s complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets. What can you bring to the team?
  • Demonstrated experience in applying BIM methodologies specifically within Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines and broader building services systems. Ability to manage complex service coordination, ensure model accuracy, and support efficient integration of building systems within multidisciplinary environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in using Revit for model creation, documentation, and data management, along with Navisworks for model coordination, clash detection, and construction simulation. Ability to establish workflows, templates, and best practices to optimize team productivity and model quality.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) with a solid understanding of engineering principles related to building systems, enabling effective review and validation of BIM models.
  • Possession of relevant industry certifications such as BEM registration (Board of Engineers Malaysia) and CIDB Green Card, demonstrating compliance with regulatory and site safety requirements.
