Travel & Expenses Associate Analyst (Mandarin Speaker/6-month Contract)

Global Finance Services (GFS) is the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with outstanding business analysis and insight, enables our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities. AstraZeneca’s Finance function is continuing its transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations.

The role holder reports to the T&E Audit Team Lead and is accountable for:

  • Operate on expense Oversight tool and use sound judgement to ensure expense exceptions are appropriately closed and to address findings during the audit process.
  • Ensure the timeliness of expense exceptions processing within agreed timeline, take appropriate follow up action according to defined process.
  • Acquire end-to-end understanding of Oversight audit workflow, configuration, audit operation and address any gap identified during the process.
  • Highlight and work with the team lead to manage operation issues and escalations and seek for support whenever required on T&E audit operation matters.
  • Provide audit observations, suggestion on improvements and refinements where opportunities are seen to improve the tool’s performance as well as submission behaviour.
  • Driving continuous improvement and standardization/simplification across the global T&E audit process.
Requirements
  • Degree in finance, accounting or business administration, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Possess 1-2 years of accounting or finance work experiences. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply too
  • Good communication skill and able to communicate effectively in English & Mandarin (oral and written) to support China entity.
  • Working experience in a shared service centre across a global /large organization will be an added advantage.
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Inquisitive, investigative with critical thinking and good problem-solving skills.
  • Will need to work globally across time zones and cultures.
  • Willing to work on a short-term contract of 6 months.
