Assistant Manager - After Sales

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Service Sales (70%)

-Promote and secure service contracts, spare parts, and repair/retrofit works.

-Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and long-term retention.

-Conduct site visits to identify service opportunities and prepare quotations.

-Monitor debtor ageing for service accounts and follow up on collections.

2) Project Sales (30%)

-Support tender preparation, contract reviews, and technical submissions.

-Coordinate with technical teams on specifications for new boiler/project sales.

-Assist in business development initiatives to win new projects.

3) Customer Engagement & Market Development

-Actively develop new leads and expand customer base in bio-energy and related industries.

-Organize presentations, sales activities, and follow-up meetings with clients.

-Collect and share market intelligence, competitor activities, and pricing trends.

4) Team & Cross-Functional Support

-Work with Service, Project, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.

-Provide feedback to management for product/service improvement.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or others related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years working experience in Process Plant and Palm Oil industry environment.
  3. Good verbal and written communication skill, negotiation and interpersonal skill with ability to deal with people at all level.
  4. Possess analytical and problem-solving skills, task-oriented with good knowledge in presentation and self-motivation.
  5. Strong business acumen and know-how of bio-energy segment and its products.

SPECIAL OR UNIQUE ASPECTS:
  1. Good understanding of engineering material.
  2. Able to travel frequent within Peninsular. Occasionally to oversea (SEA)
  3. Possessed own transport and valid driving license.
  4. Able to interpret engineering drawings.
