We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our HSBC Amanah team in the role of Analyst Wholesale Banking, HBMS

Principal Responsibilities To assist Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team in the origination of Sukuk deals, including partnering with coverage teams and product specialists to identify opportunities, support pitch preparation, and coordinate internal stakeholders and external clients / joint banks / 3rd parties, through the origination-to-execution process.

To engage closely with coverage teams to identify DCM opportunities, including coordinating with other specialist teams such as Infrastructure Financing, Leveraged Financing, Structured Finance.

To collaborate with Institutional Sales team from Markets and Securities Services (MSS) in obtaining bonds/Sukuk market colour, and investors interests; as well as prepare market update presentations.

To engage with internal International Wealth and Personal Banking (IWPB) product managers to identify opportunities for distribution of suitable Sukuk issuances as part of wealth solutions to HSBC high net worth clients.

To support Head of Sukuk Structuring, for APAC and MYR Sukuk structuring workstreams.

Support CIB Amanah product development and implementation:

To identify opportunities for Islamic financing solutions as alternatives to DCM structures, ensuring alignment with applicable governance and control requirements.

To perform market research and analysis on Islamic finance and relevant capital markets (including competitor activity, market trends, and regulatory developments) to inform product and pipeline considerations.

To compile and analyse business data to support internal management reporting, monitoring, and oversight.

Ensure ongoing adherence to internal risk, regulatory, and policy requirements when executing transactions, in line with HSBC standard processes and policies, applicable industry standards, and Securities Commission guidelines.

Requirement

1–2 years’ experience in corporate and/or commercial banking

Strong analytical capability, with a sound understanding of financial statements and financial analysis.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
