Job Type Full-time Description Breast Health Navigator Join an energetic, patient-focused team! MedStar Radiology Network is currently seeking an experienced Breast Health Navigator for a Full-time position to support our outpatient imaging centers located in Maryland and Washington DC. Under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor, Clinical Manager, or Clinical Director, the Registered Nurse • Is a highly-skilled clinician utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to patient care service delivery. • Manages care at a highly-developed skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians, & other members of the health care team. • Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements. • Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. JOB SUMMARY May serve as a lead navigator for a designated shift and/or serve as back up to the mammography department if applicable. Mentors/provides guidance to other Breast health Navigators and Mammography technologists/Assistants. Performs breast imaging procedures and related techniques, producing data at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner. Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements. Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire. ACLS certification may be required. SKILLS/ABILITIES • Ability to work independently and multitask. • Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely. • Ability to manage medical emergencies and contrast reactions under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner. • Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
