About the position

Join our team at Dr. Squatch as a TikTok Associate! We’re looking for a confident, creative, and high-energy individual who thrives on camera and loves engaging a live audience. This role is heavily focused on TikTok Live and short-form TikTok content, with the goal of growing our TikTok presence and building authentic connections with the Dr. Squatch community. As a TikTok Associate, you’ll serve as an on-camera talent and moderator for TikTok Lives, educate viewers about our products, promote sales, manage giveaways, and create entertaining and educational content around product launches and brand moments. The ideal candidate is comfortable streaming multiple times per week, can maintain energy during extended live sessions, and knows how to engage viewers in real time. This role will report to the Sr. Social Media Manager. This is a full-time role with company benefits based in Marina Del Rey, CA. The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be \$70,000 to \$80,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

Responsibilities

  • Host and perform in TikTok Live streams multiple times per week, serving as on-camera talent and moderator.
  • Educate and sell Dr. Squatch products live on TikTok, explaining benefits, ingredients, best-sellers, and how to use them while driving excitement and interest.
  • Entertain and engage viewers through humor, personality, storytelling, and interactive moments to keep audiences watching and participating.
  • Speak confidently on camera for extended live sessions (1–3+ hours), maintaining strong energy, pacing, and engagement.
  • Drive live performance by interacting with comments in real time, answering questions, managing giveaways, and encouraging participation.
  • Create short-form and live content with a primary focus on TikTok, with occasional support for other organic social channels as needed.
  • Produce and publish TikTok videos aligned with campaigns, launches, and trends.
  • Analyze performance on a weekly basis and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Proactively suggest and share insights on new TikTok Live formats, features, and innovations to improve performance and viewer experience.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media and Marketing teams on planning, launches, and execution.
  • Assist the Sr. Social Media Manager with other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Video Production, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience creating social content, with a strong emphasis on TikTok (TikTok Live experience preferred).
  • Highly comfortable performing on camera, including live streaming multiple times per week, with an engaging, authentic presence.
  • Strong editing and production skills using tools such as TikTok native editor, CapCut, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of TikTok culture, trends, memes, and audience behavior.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a natural ability to connect with an online community.
  • A creative storyteller who enjoys educating, entertaining, and building hype through content.
  • Passion for community engagement and representing a brand voice consistently and authentically.
  • Energetic, witty, adaptable, and willing to take creative risks in a fast-moving environment.
  • A collaborative team player who stays positive and brings a good sense of humor to the job.
