Telecom Engineer, Technical Lead – remote

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Telecom Technical Manager with a strong technical and commercial background taking END to END responsibility for :

  1. Pre-sales activities
  2. Post Sales activities
  3. Internal systems setup
  4. Onboard Telecom operators / vendors

Pre-Sales

  • Understand the customer challenges and create a requirement
  • Convert this requirement into a conceptual technical solution
  • Start preparing the technical proposal in partnership with partners, vendors and customer
  • Produce the BOQ, Technical engagement, Operational and customer support
  • Define KPIs, SLAs, Pricing model, deployment plan, migration plan, operational plan and support plan
  • Negotiate directly with the client and supplier the terms and support until deal closure
  • Produce marketing collaterals that can be reused
  • PM deployment

Post Sales

  • Define the post sales engagement model, mainly SLAs, NOC model, interventional models and remain close to the client for any operational issues

Internal Systems setup

  • Implement an open source OSS/BSS -NMS that will allow us to monitor and manage links (MPLS / Internet / VSAT), with reports given to the customer
  • Create a portal that will allow customer to access their metrics and other information (Invoices / CRM)

Onboard Telecom Operators / Vendors

  • Find new operators globally, negotiate last mile price
  • Review contractual, commercial and technical documentation and give feedback
  • Agree on a NOC to NOC arrangement and potentially an NNI
  • Agree on SLAs that will be then standardized across our offering
  • Onboard on the NMS the new supplier

Qualifications

  • Telecom Engineer
  • Strong Telecom Technical expertise and experience with large Telecom operators
  • Strong technical skills : VSAT / MPLS / DIA / SD-WAN / HUB-REMOTE solutions / HYBRID networks / SIP / OPERATOR CONNECT / LORA-WAN / IoT / Cyber Security
  • Experience with NMS and supplier onboarding
  • Knowledge of the main vendors : CISCO / FORTINET / VELO CLOUD / TEAMS / etc.
  • Experience in creating network designs, topologies,
  • knowledge with great Sales and Marketing acumen
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in data analysis, to generate insights and develop templates and marketing campaigns
  • Experience in providing management consulting and deliver high quality documents
  • Excellent communication skills across different mediums, including face-to-face communication, presentations, and written reports
  • Understanding of finance and financial analysis to support business cases and deal structuring
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and across different levels in an organization
  • Experience in the telecom or technology industry is required
