<h1>Optimizely Commerce Connect Senior Developer</h1><p><strong>Location:</strong> Remote US</p><p><strong>Department:</strong> IT Marketing/Digital Systems</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p> <p>The Optimizely Commerce Connect Senior Developer works with the Information Technology Digital Team and is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications within the Century Communities family of websites while contributing to the evolution of the software architecture using the Optimizely Commerce Connect (B2C) Cloud. Remote position.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your Key Responsibilities Include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be a resource for the team on B2C commerce best practices.</li> <li>Assist with application ownership over the Optimizely Commerce Connect platform, including administration, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and development.</li> <li>Develop integrations relevant to the Optimizely Commerce Connect environment.</li> <li>Support and assist with system upgrades, including technical and functional testing.</li> <li>Collaborate with other team members to inform overall architectural decisions around Optimizely Commerce Connect.</li> <li>Thoroughly understand stakeholder requirements and manage all requirements accordingly to add value for each stakeholder.</li> <li>Coordinate and manage support and bug escalations to external vendors and support teams.</li> <li>Develop and maintain documentation of detailed system solutions, troubleshooting guides, best practices, and relevant business process mapping.</li> <li>Work closely with remote development teams to ensure the software meets business and technical requirements and is scalable, maintainable, and secure.</li> <li>Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.</li> <li>Ensure the development of web applications to the highest quality and performance standards.</li> <li>Develop code in a manner that is scalable, efficient, and performant.</li> <li>Support and assist with technical and functional testing.</li> <li>Work to build relationships with internal IT and business teams and external vendors to drive value-added solutions.</li> <li>Perform other duties as needed or assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Optimizely Commerce Expertise</strong>: 2–5 years of hands-on experience with Optimizely Digital Experience Platform (DXP), particularly Commerce Connect (B2C), including architecture, customization, and integration.</li> <li><strong>Full-Stack Development</strong>: 3–5 years of experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, SQL Server, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).</li> <li><strong>Cloud Proficiency</strong>: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, etc.) and cloud-native development practices.</li> <li><strong>Software Engineering Principles</strong>: Strong grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, design patterns, and agile software development methodologies.</li> <li><strong>Integration Experience</strong>: Proven ability to design and implement integrations with third-party systems (e.g., CRMs, ERPs, payment gateways, analytics platforms).</li> <li><strong>Performance & Scalability</strong>: Experience building scalable, high-performance web applications with a focus on security, maintainability, and user experience.</li> <li><strong>DevOps & CI/CD</strong>: Exposure to DevOps practices, including automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.</li> <li><strong>Communication & Collaboration</strong>: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.</li> <li><strong>Problem Solving</strong>: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your Education and Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.</li> <li>2 to 5 years of development experience on the Optimizely Commerce Connect (B2C) platform.</li> <li>3 to 5 years of development experience on Microsoft .NET (ASP.NET MVC/Web API).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation: </strong></p> <p>Century Communities (the Company) intends to offer the selected candidate an annual base salary in the range of$115,000k - $125,000k with the potential for other financial incentives. Actual offers will be based on a variety of factors, including experience.
