Job Description:

The Retail Salesperson's competencies encompass maintaining store cleanliness, executing cashiering tasks, and stocking merchandise, amongst other duties. By demonstrating excellence in customer service and teamwork with the ALDI team, the Retail Salesperson can make a valuable impression on customers.

  • The standard workweek is comprised of 32 to 40 hours of labor

Fundamental Job Requirements:

The employee must be capable of fulfilling fundamental job requirements, with or without accommodation.

  • Utilize effective communication channels while utilizing the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) to ensure that issues are resolved, goals are met, and professionalism is maintained.
  • To effectively organize the store, sales associates have to carry out customer checkouts, perform cleaning tasks and ensure that the shelves accommodate merchandise in an orderly fashion
  • Enhancing the shopping experience for customers can be achieved by providing personalized and engaging customer service that exceeds their expectations
  • By working collaboratively with your team and communicating effectively with the store management team, you can succeed
  • Through providing management with regular updates on product status, inventory losses, scanning errors, and other concerns, greater accountability can be achieved
  • Follow inventory count procedures and maintain vigilance over inventory accuracy
  • To minimize financial loss, it is important to consistently adhere to established cash policies and procedures
  • Maintains the confidentiality and security of documents and data by strictly following established company protocols and regulations

Physical Demands:

  • Proficiency in transferring inventory from store receiving to the shelves, as well as the ability to display products weighing up to 45 pounds at various heights on the shelves
  • In the store, several physical activities like sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking need to be carried out regularly
  • Duties must be performable with or without accommodations as per employment regulations
