[Remote] Sr Director, Data Portfolio & Delivery (IT)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DaVita Kidney Care is focused on developing and executing critical projects within the Data Governance, Product and Strategy Lane. The Portfolio and Delivery Sr. Director will drive strategic and operational initiatives, acting as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders to enhance data strategy and governance.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with Data Product Lead, Domain Owners, and the Data Governance Lead to manage and operationalize the enterprise Data GPS portfolio, ensuring growth initiatives are prioritized, funded, and executed in alignment with business strategy and enterprise objectives
  • Support cross-functional initiatives that span Data Products, Data Domains, and Governance capabilities, serving as the primary integrator across teams to drive alignment, resolve dependencies, and accelerate delivery
  • Oversee strategic programs from concept through execution, ensuring successful implementation, adoption, and value realization of data products, governance capabilities, domain initiatives, and enterprise data transformation efforts
  • Identify opportunities to scale successful pilots, emerging capabilities, and innovative solutions across the Village while fostering collaboration between technical, business, and clinical stakeholders
  • Partner with Data GPS leadership to translate the vision for Data Products, Domains, and Governance into actionable roadmaps, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes
  • Establish and maintain portfolio-wide KPIs, OKRs, and performance metrics that provide visibility into execution, adoption, value realization, and organizational impact
  • Drive strategic planning and execution processes, ensuring alignment of priorities, dependencies, and investments across Product, Domain, and Governance workstreams
  • Facilitate accountability across cross-functional teams by monitoring commitments, tracking outcomes, and escalating risks or blockers that may impact strategic objectives
  • Own the governance and operating rhythm for the Data Governance, Product, and Strategy portfolio, ensuring prioritization decisions align with enterprise goals, capacity constraints, and strategic value
  • Partner with Product Lead, Domain Owners, and Governance Lead to develop integrated roadmaps, manage interdependencies, and coordinate delivery across multiple initiatives and teams
  • Establish portfolio management disciplines including demand intake, capacity planning, financial oversight, roadmap governance, resource allocation, and executive reporting
  • Monitor portfolio health, delivery performance, risks, and investment outcomes, enabling leadership to make informed prioritization and funding decisions
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Data GPS leadership team, providing structure, rigor, and execution support for the organization's highest-priority initiatives
  • Enable alignment across Data Product, Domain, and Governance leaders by facilitating decision-making, strategic planning sessions, and portfolio reviews
  • Develop executive-ready business cases, strategic recommendations, and investment proposals that support growth, scalability, and enterprise adoption of data capabilities
  • Lead preparation for executive forums, steering committees, and governance councils, ensuring clear communication of priorities, risks, progress, and outcomes
  • Drive portfolio-level reporting and performance management processes that provide transparency into initiative status, value realization, resource utilization, and risk exposure
  • Partner with Product, Domain, and Governance leaders to synthesize operational, financial, and business performance data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Conduct strategic analyses to support prioritization decisions, investment planning, organizational effectiveness, and enterprise data transformation efforts
  • Develop reporting frameworks that measure business impact, adoption, and return on investment across the Data GPS portfolio
  • Prepare and deliver compelling executive communications that articulate portfolio progress, business value, strategic priorities, and key decisions required from leadership
  • Provide regular updates to senior leaders, steering committees, and governance forums regarding the health and performance of Data Products, Data Domains, and Governance initiatives
  • Build executive-ready presentations that connect investments in data governance, products, and domains to measurable business and clinical outcomes
  • Communicate portfolio risks, dependencies, opportunities, and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner to support enterprise decision-making

Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or similar level of experience required
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT, Data Strategy, Analytics, or AI/ML program management
  • Proven track record in change management, executive communication and demonstrated ability to partner with and influence senior leadership
  • Experience in strategic planning, project management, and leadership is preferred
  • Experience managing complex tech initiatives in a multi-site healthcare organization
  • Familiarity with Data/AI tech stacks (e.g., Cloud data platforms, GenAI frameworks, ML operations)
