Principal Network Engineer - Juniper focused

We have an opening for a Principal Network Engineer to join our Network Engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining the data center and corporate offices' network infrastructure and have the chance to work on a wide variety of areas like WAN Edge, Wireless Technology, IPS/IDS, NGFW systems, various switching and routing platforms, DDOS Mitigations, Network Access Control, Load Balancers, Inter Office and Inter DC Connectivity, Cloud Networking, DNS, Automation.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and deploy new infrastructure
  • Recommend upgrades and solve complex issues on existing infrastructure
  • Participate in life cycle projects of network gear
  • Automate day to day tasks of network provisioning
  • Participate in delivering complex projects and also communicate well with other operations teams
  • Work on DNS, Load Balancer configurations
  • Work on NGFWs, set up new connectivity to B2B partners and remote sites
  • Deploy custom solutions, and use existing tools to monitor the infrastructure
  • Train and mentor junior engineers
  • Work on DDOS mitigations and other security initiatives
  • Work on PCI compliance tasks
  • Be a part of a 24x7 network engineering team and take part in on call rotations
  • Work on day to day tasks of deploying or maintaining data center or corporate office network infrastructure
  • Work with other operations teams to troubleshoot and fix complex issues
  • Generate and update documentation and help with process streamlining

Who you are:

  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering in large scale enterprise and data center environments. Juniper enterprise expertise is a must to be successful in the role
  • Automation experience with tools like ansible to provision and configure network infrastructure
  • Experience with designing and configuring EVPN fabrics
  • Must have understanding of how web applications function at a high level
  • Vendor Certification in routing and switching, firewalls, wireless is a plus (JNCIP, JNCIE, etc.)
  • Linux skills to deploy monitoring tools. Perl or python experience is a plus
  • Extensive experience with configuration of security appliances, switches, routers, etc. (Palo Alto, F5, and Juniper products)
  • Understanding of load balancing technologies, DNS, SAAS Infrastructure
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP. Understanding of cloud and on premises network connectivity
  • Experience with Wireless Technologies for corporate offices
  • Load balancer configuration skills are a plus
  • Solid working experience with routing and switching technologies: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS (L2 & L3 VPN), RSVP, LDP, Switching technologies (VLAN/Trunking, STP,RSTP,VSTP)

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
