Position: Marketing Operations Data Analyst

Focus: Marketing Data Analytics, Reporting & Email/Database Operations

Location: New York, NY or Tampa, Florida

Summary: This role combines marketing analytics and reporting with a focus on email marketing and database operations, serving as a single point of access across VanEck’s marketing technology stack. The analyst will be responsible for the execution and measurement of digital marketing campaigns, owning both the operational delivery of email and web content and contributing to the data analysis that evaluates its performance.

Marketo is the primary platform for this role; deep proficiency in Marketo’s campaign execution, automation, database management, and reporting capabilities is essential. The analyst will also serve as a key data and reporting partner to the Sales organization, delivering insights that support business development and client engagement.

This position requires a self-starter who is equally comfortable managing daily production workflows and conducting data-driven analysis. The analyst will identify opportunities to automate processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and use insights to recommend improvements to marketing campaigns.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Includes the following, other duties may be assigned as needed:

Email & Database Operations

  • Oversee daily email marketing production and publishing in support of all business lines using Marketo, including email build and templates, smart list configuration, program setup, approval workflows, and distribution.
  • Leverage Marketo’s database and segmentation capabilities to manage lead records, maintain list hygiene, and support targeted campaign delivery across channels and client segments.
  • Build and maintain Marketo programs, nurture streams, and triggered campaigns; identify opportunities to expand automation and improve operational efficiency.
  • Review the accuracy of monthly/quarterly automatically published fund-related data and content delivered via email.
  • Maintain the master email marketing content calendar across all distribution channels in coordination with Marketing and Sales stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot Marketo email delivery, rendering, program logic, and automation issues as needed.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Serve as the primary reporting contact for the Sales team—develop, maintain, and deliver regular dashboards and data feeds that surface campaign engagement, lead activity, and pipeline influence to support business development efforts.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to understand reporting needs and translate them into scalable, automated solutions using Marketo, Salesforce, and BI tools.
  • Integrate and interpret data from multiple sources (Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and others) to identify trends, insights, and opportunities that inform both marketing strategy and sales outreach.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance reporting dashboards and visualizations using BI tools such as Domo, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Monitor and track key performance metrics across email, web, and campaign channels; evaluate effectiveness and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Use SQL and other data tools to extract, transform, and load data for analysis and reporting.
  • Analyze campaign performance and translate findings into actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct marketing research including primary and secondary research to identify market trends, client needs, and competitive intelligence.
Cross-Functional & Platform Responsibilities
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert on Marketo; provide guidance to Marketing team members on platform capabilities, best practices, and new features.
  • Work with Marketing, Sales, IT, and senior management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate reporting, data workflows, and operational processes.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of web content publishing as needed in support of email campaigns.
