Purpose

As a Marina Attendant, you'll be the first point of contact for boating enthusiasts and guests, ensuring their safety, satisfaction, and memorable experiences on the water. With your high energy, enthusiasm, and friendly demeanor, you will assist with boat rentals, dock assistance, and provide exceptional service to our guests.

Key Accountabilities

  • Always provide the highest quality of service to the guests for consistent adherence to Rod ‘N’ Reel’s quality standards, operating systems/procedures, and sanitation and safety regulations/requirements
  • Maintain standards of quality guest services. Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Represent, support, and protect the Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort’s brand.
  • Demonstrate Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort’s core values and principles.
Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests with boat rentals, docking, and fueling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering inquiries and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with boat inspections and maintenance to ensure safe and seaworthy vessels.
  • Monitor the marina area for safety and security.
  • Coordinate and schedule boat and rental reservations.
  • Offer guidance and instructions on boating regulations and safety procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the marina area.
  • Assist with special events and activities related to the marina.

Qualifications

  • Strong passion for boating, water sports, and outdoor activities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Basic knowledge of boating regulations and safety procedures
  • Ability to swim and perform basic water rescues if required
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle cash transactions
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
  • Previous experience in marina operations or hospitality industry is a plus

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

Position requires standing, handling, eye-hand coordination, stooping, kneeling, and walking/standing for multiple hours in succession. This position may on occasion require the lifting, carrying, pulling, or pushing of up to approximately 40 lbs.

Must be able to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear effectively with surrounding background noise. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to add, subtract, multiple and divide at a basic level.
