Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Teacher/Assistant Director of KiddyCity Daycare LLC at our Hampton location to join our team! As team member of our center, you will be responsible for selecting and overseeing an age-appropriate programs, activities, and Lesson plan for the children in care. This candidate will be responsible for her classroom, lesson planning, will also conduct Bi-annual children assessments, serving meals, implementing class activities and supervising all children. You will also support the Director and Administrator in their absence and some of those duties include, managing enrollment, conducting tours, compiling enrollment packages, answering potential parents questions via phone and drop ins, processing applications, supervise staff, assist with preparing daily meals, office supplies and bring positive communication to the team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a deep understanding of child development and education, and experience in managing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate accredited curriculum
  • Ensure that we are always in compliance with company and state regulations, as well as; with the Department of Education
  • Manage staff and communicate any issues, including scheduling and interpersonal conflicts that may arise
  • Work together with the Administrator/Program Director on all lesson plans, printed materials, bulletin announcements, and newsletters
  • Plan extra-curricular activities, including in-house entertainment and field trips or destinations when required
Qualifications
  • The required licensing/certification to perform this role
  • Experienced Program Leader
  • Past experience working with children
  • Associate’s degree in education is preferred and/or CDA required
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team
  • Deep understanding of childcare, child development, and education
