This role is best positioned as a <strong>hybrid operations and repower-focused engineering role</strong> supporting the performance, reliability, and optimization of wind assets. It requires a strong foundation in and understanding of <strong>technology design, field operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting methodologies</strong>, combined with the ability to manage engineering initiatives and projects focused on improving asset performance and reducing both risk and operational costs.</p> <p>While direct wind experience is preferred, we are open to candidates from adjacent industries (eg, other power generation) who bring strong technology design, Independent Engineering or <strong>operations and maintenance experience</strong>, particularly those who have worked directly with field-based operations teams, supporting equipment reliability, maintenance programs, and cross-functional coordination.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supporting optimizing strategies for operating facilities and support repower</li> <li>Coordinate with internal teams and third-party engineering firms for special projects.</li> <li>Participate in development of RFP’s, specifications and drawings, proposal review and contract award, tendering phase, quality assurance and finalization.</li> <li>Support with contract administration to ensure compliance with permits, policies and codes.</li> <li>Act as an engineering project manager for projects assigned.</li> <li>Assist in capital and maintenance budget preparation and prioritize, plan and schedule of work budgeted.</li> <li>Support with development, revision and quality control of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs, policies and procedures.</li> <li>Review the preventive and corrective maintenance reports to ensure compliance and identify issues.</li> <li>Assist self-perform teams in troubleshooting and repair, and equipment selection of solar equipment.</li> <li>Propose improvements and evaluate new technologies to minimize operating costs, risk and potential losses and maximize potential generation.</li> <li>Perform site audits and work with contractors and self-perform teams to improve the health of the sites.</li> <li>Demonstrate a strong alignment with corporate values, including health, safety, security and environmental policy.</li> </ul> <ul></ul> <ul></ul> <p><strong>Requirements </strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to climb wind turbines.</li> <li>Excellent inter personnel and facilitation skills.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and to manage multiple concurrent projects.</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills and planning, prioritizing and organizing abilities.</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft applications.</li> <li>A strong personal commitment to continuous improvement.</li> <li>Values excellence in safety and environmental</li> <li>Travel Expectation: 15-35%</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p> <ul> <li>BS Degree in Engineering or related field, Mechanical preferred</li> <li>3+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in Wind Operations & Maintenance, Development or Construction</li> <li>Familiarity with applicable OSHA standards</li> <li>Having GWO BST/ART certification is a plus</li> </ul> <p>Compensation: $115,000-130,000 USD, bonus eligible </p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>A note to Recruiting Agencies</strong>, TerraForm Power Human Resources team does not accept unsolicited resumes from third party recruiters, staffing firms, or related agencies.
