Director, eCommerce Syndicated API Platforms

Imagine spearheading the next phase of digital expansion by empowering reseller partners to create and maintain their own Sales and Marketing portals using Spectrum’s Syndicated APIs. As the Director, Syndicated API Platforms, you will lead API enablement, ensuring successful onboarding, operational support, and long-term partner achievement. Your leadership will drive Spectrum’s digital platform strategy while extending our digital reach through innovative partner solutions and measurable business impact.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and mentor reseller partners to launch and manage Sales and Marketing portals utilizing Spectrum’s Syndicated APIs
  • Serve as the primary liaison for partners, supporting onboarding, implementation, launch readiness and ongoing operations
  • Define and execute the partner API enablement roadmap in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams
  • Coordinate efforts across Product, Technology, Sales, Marketing and Operations to facilitate seamless partner launches
  • Ensure APIs are secure, versioned, monitored, well-documented and supported for partner adoption
  • Translate technical API concepts into actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Enhance partner and developer experience through clear documentation, onboarding materials and robust support resources

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in technical program delivery, partner enablement, API platforms or digital delivery
  • 9+ years of partner enablement and relationship management
  • 9+ years of API platform strategy and external integration support
  • 5+ years of cross-functional leadership and stakeholder alignment
  • 5+ years of launch planning, operational readiness and issue resolution
  • 5+ years of executive-level communication and partner engagement
  • 5+ years of documentation, process improvement and operating model design
  • 5+ years of data-driven decision making using dashboards and KPIs
  • 5+ years translating technical requirements into business context
  • 3+ years of leadership experience supporting API products, partner integrations or external platform enablement
  • Experience with external partners or resellers on digital or technical integrations
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Operations
  • Experience managing launch readiness, implementation coordination and post-launch support
Skills
  • Strong understanding of API concepts including REST APIs, authentication, payloads, versioning and error handling
  • Familiarity with API lifecycle management (design standards, documentation, onboarding, change management, deprecation)
  • Experience supporting developer experience through guides, FAQs and support workflows
  • Understanding of API performance, uptime, monitoring and incident management
  • Familiarity with API gateways, access controls and security standards
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based platforms and modern digital architectures
  • Experience tracking API usage, adoption, launch status and operational health metrics

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Experience in telecom, cable, broadband, digital sales, or partner channel environments
  • Experience enabling third-party or reseller partners to build customer-facing portals or sales experiences
