POSITION: Anticipated School Secretary
Full-Time, Tenure-Track Position

2026-2027 School Year

The West Long Branch School District is seeking a collaborative, organized individual to support the efficient operation of Frank Antonides School.  This role entails serving as primary point of contact for students, families, and staff, and helping to maintain a welcoming, organized, and responsive school environment.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as the first point of contact for visitors, students, and families, maintaining a warm, professional, and helpful front office environment.
  • Manages incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, and route information appropriately.
  • Maintains accurate student records, attendance, and daily reports in accordance with district procedures.
  • Prepares correspondence, notices, agendas and other documents as directed.
  • Maintains a well-organized, up-to-date filing system.
  • Maintains confidentiality as required and appropriate.
  • Performs other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office and/or school, as directed by the principal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in an administrative or school office setting preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with office technology and student information systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • 12 Month Position, salary and benefits as negotiated between the WLB Board of Education and the WLB Education Association.
  • Single medical, dental, and prescription benefits for non-tenured staff. Family benefits available upon achievement of tenure. $5000 per year for individuals declining benefits.
  • 10 sick, 3 personal, 2 family illness leave days per year.
  • Tuition reimbursement available.
  • Salary Range: $41,183 - $59,183 per year, subject to the completion of negotiations.
